What happens during the appointment?

We establish what happened

We ask what the caller, popup or suspicious program did and which accounts or payment details may have been exposed.

We check and clean the computer

We inspect common remote-access tools, unwanted programs, browser settings, updates and basic security configuration.

We help secure important accounts

Where possible, we guide password changes, recovery checks and multi-factor authentication in a sensible order.

When banking details were involved

Contact the bank immediately through its official number. We can help with the computer and accounts, but only the bank can block transactions, cards or transfers.

📱

Use a safer device for urgent changes

When possible, change critical email and banking passwords from a different trusted phone or computer before returning to the affected device.

Scam and virus help questions

Should I turn the computer off?

If someone currently has remote access, disconnect it from the internet and end the call. Turning it off can also stop the active session until help is available.

Can you guarantee the computer is completely safe?

No responsible technician can guarantee that. We can perform practical checks and cleanup, explain what was found and recommend further steps or a full reset when appropriate.

Should I change every password?

Start with the main email account, banking and any account that reuses the same password. Changes should preferably be made from a separate trusted device.

Can you get stolen money back?

No. Contact your bank immediately and report the incident through the appropriate official channels. We can help secure the technology involved.

Can this be done remotely?

Sometimes, but onsite help is often safer when remote-access software or a complete loss of trust in the computer is involved.

Will I lose my files?

Many cleanup jobs do not require deleting personal files. If a reset or replacement is recommended, backup options and risks will be explained first.
